Independent Reviews Of An Bohreen Bed And Breakfast

Pure Magic Near A Fairy Bush: - An article written about An Bohreen Bed And Breakfast, Dungarvan, County Waterford by renowned Food Critic Lucinda O'Sullivan for the Irish Independent Newspaper (Ireland's National Newspaper).

Bridgestone Review: - An Bohreen Review In Bridgestone 100 Best Places To Stay In Ireland. The Bridgestone 100 Best Places to Stay in Ireland describes the finest country houses, B&B’s and hotels that you can find in Ireland. Romantic, escapist, quixotic, these are the havens for style lovers. The 100 Best Places to Stay leads you straight to the heart of one of the great cultures of hospitality in the world.

Frommers: - "We can't think of another B&B or Guest House in these parts - or anywhere - that offers such value for money, whatever you do, don't miss dinner" (Frommer's Ireland 2005).

Red Book Guide - (By A Famous Tyre Company): - Awarded a "Bib Gourmand" for great value for money. "Very personally run bungalow with fine views over countryside and bay. Cosy lounge within large open plan. Tastefully furnished. Dinner menu employs best local ingredients, and cooked with great passion.

Boston Irish Reporter Review: - One of our favourites was An Bohreen, just outside Dungarvan. It is spotlessly clean and bright with a host and hostess who are outgoing and delightful and - an added bonus - the meals are absolutely superb! Dinner at An Bohreen - we reserved our table and stated our entree preferences the day before - was unbelievable and would silence forever those who say the food in Ireland isn’t gourmet. The Mulligan’s pride themselves on their wine selection, which was outstanding and perfectly complimented the entrees.

Little Black Book Of Great Places To Stay: - Jim and Ann Mulligan built their perfect Architectural style house overlooking Dungarvan Bay with guests in mind. The heart of the ‘bed and breakfast’ is the split-level airy sitting cum dining area with splendid views right down over the Gaeltacht area of Ring, Dungarvan Bay and its oyster beds whilst pretty bedrooms, have surreal views of the brooding Comeragh Mountains.

Karen Brown's GuidesKaren Brown's Guides: - The sitting room windows frame the Comeragh Mountains. Bedrooms are fresh and pretty with antique dressers and attractive bed linen. Jim is quintessentially Irish with a gleam in his eye, and a natural friendliness. He carries your bag, plans sightseeing, and answers questions; while Ann has a reputation for excellent cooking. A dinner here may well be the highlight of your trip.
